I set out from JWA in Orange County with a connection in Denver arriving at Jackson Hole Airport in the late afternoon. Â It was my first time flying Frontier Airlines, I managed to get my luggage consolidated down to one (big) suitcase that weighed in at 49 pounds, hey one pound to spare. Â I was pretty happy with myself that I managed to consolidate everything I needed on my journey into one bag, well that one bag and a packed full and heavy carry on.
The flight from Denver to Jackson Hole took place on a small turbo prop plane, here we are getting on board:
The flight was smooth into Jackson Hole Airport, the only airport in a national park, but the rain put a damper on things. Â We hurriedly made it to the terminal and the shuttle I booked through Alltrans had a few vans waiting outside and a friendly driver ready to head into town. Â He gave myself and the fellow passengers a history lesson on the way into town as we passed elk crossings, the town of Jackson and he even mentioned the fortune few rangers and fish hatchers that found themselves occupying former millionaire mansions in Yellowstone Park.
I arrived at the condo in enough time to setup and meet the the neighbor living in the lower unit and take a quick tour. Â I took a quick tour and shot this photo from the balcony upstairs:
Here are a few pics of my room:
